 Buying for your children is so
difficult, such gifts that you are responsible for keeping safe and healthy.
It is particularly hard when this item has any kind of safety
requirement, to keep your most precious little ones free from harm and out of
danger. I am referring to
strollers, cribs and, most definitely, car seats.
I know when my husband and I bought our first car seat, we did so much
research, we even enlisted family members to help us decide on which one would
be the best choice—highest rated in a crash, most importantly.
But, how can we trust the crash tests?
As a new parent, you just do.
You need some benchmark to be able to compare products.
We found a car seat that took the initiative to develop an entirely new
test for car seats. And then they
took the findings and created a new seat.
We were impressed.
 The new Complete Air
Convertible Car Seat from Dorel Juvenile Group is a significantly different type
of seat, in many ways. The first,
and most obvious from its name, is the side impact air cushion that is created
upon side impact. The seat has
wings that protrude on the side of the head, which have air in them, using their
“Air Protect” Technology. These are
what should protect the head upon a side-impact crash.
According to Dorel, side impacts are the leading cause of death in
children by collision they say accounting for one-third of crash fatalities.
 So, here are my mommy-moments
thoughts on this car seat:
+My two-year
old loves it. It’s roomy,
comfortable and sits him up slightly straighter and higher than our previous
seat.
+It looks
great and cleans easily. Since it
is well-made, the fabric does not get pinched underneath him, allowing full
access for our dust-buster to remove graham cracker crumbs.
I like that a lot.
+It is quite
easy to install. My husband didn’t
need me to join him on top of the seat to get it tight in the latch buckle.
Nice feature.
 +It has many more ways to
transform the buckles to fit my son’s physique.
The head rest easily moves up and down, to give his head the right-sized
resting spot. The buckles are easy
to slide up and down to get him safely in.
 +It comes in an awesome, cool
box with a beautiful picture of a baby on it.
My baby daughter loves that box!
We are very
happy with our new car seat and know that it will last us for several years down
