I had a Grand time in my Canyon
by Madelyn Miller, the TravelLady
When my son was little, his favorite car was a shiny red truck. It went
everywhere with him. I really thought he would buy a red truck when he grew up.
If only he had seen me in the shiny blue GMC Canyon Crew Cab Pick Up that I
drove recently. Everything about it was grand.
I thought about driving to Phily to let me son and grandson see this
special truck. But the weather on the East Coast was too cold and snowy for me.
GMC Canyon Crew Cab Pick Up is an outdoor vehicle. I loved driving it in the
city. In the shopping malls. And everywhere else I drove it .And that is really
a compliment from someone who considers herself an indoor writer.
In honor of my son, I had to find a young boy to appreciate my truck
My Grand Canyon Days
The first morning I had it, I drove to my chiropractor. Their son Xalen is home
schooled. He always looks to see what car I am driving. Not that many people
drive a new car each week. I only wish a man my age would be as excited to see
me as Xalen is.
I loved driving the GMC Canyon Crew Cab Pick Up. It looked like a truck but
drove like a car with a cab back instead of a truck (never fear--there was
plenty of room for all my usual trunk stuff in my back seat.) I felt safe and
secure everywhere I went--after all, who would mess with a woman who drives a
truck like that? An important safwety feature is ONStar which is a basic for any
woman driver as a good black dress.
And for increased security it is available with Head Curtain Side Air Bags.
A head curtain side air bag system functions like a protective curtain. A large
air bag on each side protects outboard first- and second-row passengers.
What special things did I do with my truck? I went to Walmart to get
plastic storage bins for my storage locker. There was more than enough room in
the cab pickup for as many as I needed on one trip. That saved time and gas. The
GMC Canyon Crew Cab Pick Up got good mileage driving in the city, over 15 miles
per gallon.
And I am not the only one who loves it

This might be the car that every little boy wants when he grows up. And big
girls me sure like it, too
