Your Ultimate Travel Companion
by Renata Cathey
Ladies, we all want a friend that has our backs in tough
situations and can really kick butt.
The 2009 HUMMER H3T is that strong friend.
The 2009 HUMMER H3T mid-sized truck is all we need to take us to safety
in dire situations like hurricanes and snow storms.
Or to really make us laugh hard out loud if we enjoy outdoor adventures
like mountain biking, kayaking, or skiing.
Power
Many of
us drive small cars and like them. After
sitting behind the wheel of big fearless crew cab truck, you will find the power
liberating. Nothing conquers watery
potholes, rain downpours, and strong winds like the engine options of the 2009
HUMMER H3T. You turn the ignition and the
engine roars in 4 HI (4x4) to battle thunder and snow while wrapping you, you
and family or girlfriends up its warmth. Older adults, children and those of us
under 5’5 will find the handholds a helpful tool for getting in and out of the
2009 HUMMER H3T.
You
choose your roar value. The
standard engine is Vortec 3.7-liter I-5 (5 cylinders), with either a five-speed
manual or optional four-speed automatic transmission.
It is rated at 242 horsepower and 242 lb.−ft. of torque.
It gets 14 mpg in the city and 18 mpg on the highway.
For a slightly louder voice and a smoother ride select the 5.3-liter V8
engine that’s inside the top-of-the-line 2009 HUMMER H3T Alpha with a five-speed
automatic transmission. It is rated
at 300 horsepower and 320 lb.−ft. of torque. It gets 13 mpg in the city
and 16 mpg on the highway. Both gas
powered engines use an aluminum cylinder block which helps to reduce overall
mass and maintains front−to−rear weight balance.
Hybrid and diesel engines options are not available.
In short ladies, the bold 2009 HUMMER H3T is a hunk of steel that makes
flat towing effortless.
Smart
You’ll
ride easier through rough weather knowing that your 32 inch tires on standard
models, 4 skid plates (front shield, transfer case shield, fuel tank shield, and
oil-pan shield/front axle shield), 4-wheel ABS with traction control and
tire-pressure-monitoring system are present to handle the water trenches up to 2
feet deep and climb over downed tree branches attempting to block your way.
All 2009 HUMMER H3T models have dual frontal air bags with the GM
passenger sensing system, head curtain side-impact air bags, and electronic
vehicle stability control system, child locks, and remote keyless access.
OnStar is standard on 2009 HUMMER H3T models.
OnStar offers a helping hand that can give you directions or make an
emergency phone call on your behalf.
Take advantage of the three months of complimentary usage.
On road
trips the 2009 HUMMER H3T has room for 5 people easily.
Spill resistance, kid and pet friendly, cloth or supple leather seat
covering are options that come in several two tone varieties.
If it just the two of you, then you
will appreciate the extra cargo space created when the 60/40−split rear bench
seat folds flat. The temperature,
AM/FM radio, CD player, steering wheel, door locks,
and side mirrors control settings are all in intuitive accessible places
and most importantly, easy to read.
In humid and icy climates, back seat passengers will appreciate the airflow that
will quickly cool or warm their bodies.
The sound system is clear and ready for your favorite CD tunes or XM
satellite radio station. The
front and back windows create an opening perfect your favorite pet, curious
child, or fun loving friends to enjoy the fresh air.
