A Letter
to Santa

Dear
Santa!!
We’ve tried to be
good automakers this year. We’ve
worked diligently on our new fuel efficient cars, we’re tried to add more wow to
the body style and we’ve really
upped the anti on safety.
We’ve
only experienced one or two little problems this year. One is that the price of
gas skyrocketed before we could get all of our hybrids on the market and the
second is that consumer confidence turned its back on us when our stock took a
barreling plunge. Santa, we are working very hard to correct the problem.
We’ve
asked the powers that be in Washington,
D.C. to help us out. We only need
a few billion dollars to meet payroll and continue our mission.
We only followed in the footsteps of other big companies that the
government is assisting, too. But
when we asked, all the pesky media could do was to talk about our CEO’s and
their corporate jets.
Don’t
they know that those jets are part of the company image..just like your sleigh.
Can you image what would happen if you
showed up in Washington, D.C. driving something other than the
reindeer driven sleigh? It wouldn’t
be a pretty picture and you’d be allover the network news.
So,
Santa, if you can see your way clear, please send us a big ol’bag of cash for
Christmas to help save the big three car industry and its employees.
There’s
milk and cookies for you in the deal!
Sincerely.
