Something tells me that small cars may be making a comeback.  Remember the 70’s... or maybe you don’t, but compact cars were all the rage.  They were cute. They were fun. They were extremely fuel friendly.  So, why can’t the big three bring them back? 

Well,  GM has done just that in a joint venture with Wuling and it’s a hoot!!

It’s called the Tri-Fun, a three wheeled 1 liter four cylinder pick-up truck.  It features a 5 speed manual transmission and is capable of highway speeds.  The three wheeled vehicle is actually, for all practical purposes, a snazzy motorcycle with a car body.  Oh, did I mention the gas mileage?  How about 42 – 53 miles per gallon?

The only  drawback to the vehicle is everybody looking at you.  Some people have actually been pulled over by police officers, but they just want to get a closer look.

The Tri-Fun is barrels of fun and sales for around $10,000.
