The 2012 Cadillac Escalade
Rolling Along and Giving Back
by Rochelle Brown
The Team Escalade slogan is: Six Charities, 19 Celebrities. Four
Cities. One Bold Drive to Change Lives. The campaign, which runs September
22 – October 30th, was kicked off in Dallas with a star studded event at Dallas’
Fair Park. Team Captain, former Dallas Cowboy and new Ring of Honor
recipient Drew Pearson, announced the charities and team celebrities. They
include Cure Duchenne, Gift for Life/Taylor’s Gift Foundation, Love Hope
Strength, Ronald McDonald House Charities, Special Olympics Texas and the YMCA.
And as with any good team, the project is chocked full of celebrities including
former Dallas Cowboys Daryl Johnston, Rocket Ismail, Randy White and Everson
Walls. Also participating are Dallas Stars award winning hockey player,
Mike Modano, Olympic gymnast, Carly Patterson, tennis great, Zina Garrison and
many others. Other campaigns featuring the beautiful Escalade will roll
out in Houston, Austin and San Antonio. This is how the project works and how you can help. Eighteen Texas Cadillac
dealers will provide charities with professionally produced public service
videos and paid media for each of the six charities. From now through
midnight October 30th, the public is invited to go to
www.TeamEscaladeTexas.com and
vote, click and share their favorite charities video. The winning charity
will receive an additional $150,000 in paid media support. As the famous
DJ, Tom Joyner often says, this is definitely a “ party with a purpose”. And how appropriate that such a project kicks off in the Dallas-Fort Worth
area. The Cadillac Escalade rolls off the factory line right here in
Arlington, Texas. The Escalade is the No. 1-selling luxury SUV in America.
For the second consecutive year, the 2011 J. D. Power and Associates Initial
Quality Study and named this handsome vehicle the highest performing in its
segment. The new 2012 Escalade is equipped with a powerful 6.2L V8 403
horsepower engine. It boasts a five star safety rating in crash tests, rear
wheel drive or all-wheel drive and a DVD Navigational system with an 8-inch
touch screen that will spoil even the pickiest driver. And finally, what’s
better than getting behind the wheel of this wonderful car and cruising as you
listen to a premium Bose 5.1 Cabin Surround Sound System? For those who
are seriously into environmentally friendly cars, it is available in a high
performance hybrid estimated at 21 MPG in the city. What more can a consumer or a Team Escalade Texas charity ask for? For more information about the Team Escalade Charities click on:
